About Robyn Orr

I’m studying on MA Early Modern History at Durham University, having recently graduated from Newcastle University. I have a keen interest in local history (born and bred), and therefore throughout the summer I will upload a series of blogs based upon postcards, historical research, and my own photographs and experiences of the tourist industry in South Shields. Although mainly for nostalgia and fun, this is to accompany the exciting ‘Seaside Shields’ exhibition currently taking place at South Shields Museum and Art Gallery. Please feel free to contact me with your own South Shields seaside comments and images!
