About Katie Crowther

I’m a trainee working with the history team at the Discovery Museum in Newcastle. My 9 month placement is funded by the Museums Association.
For the majority of my time at Discovery I have been learning to curate the social history collection and for the rest of my placement I’m going to work with the museum’s Maritime, Costume and Textile, Contemporary and Biology stores. Follow my blogs to find out what I get up to.
I am also a biology graduate undertaking a Masters degree in Museum Studies and one day I would love to work in a natural history museum.
